The role women play in financial and investment decision-making is significant – women are starting more businesses, leading more companies and inheriting increasing levels of wealth from spouses and parents. Yet, we still hear that many women continue to struggle with engagement by, and in, the financial services industry.
To combat that trend we started where we always endeavor to start: listening to our clients.
We conducted a Listening Tour where we interviewed just under 40 of our women clients of varying age, across regions and different client sizes. We asked about: what matters most to them, what they are looking for from their financial advisors, if we are engaging with them as they expect and, how can we do better. We learned a great deal and are shaping our next steps from their feedback.
