BROWN ADVISORY HIRES NEW PORTFOLIO MANAGER IN SAN FRANCISCO

Lisi Bailliere Dean

Partner and Portfolio Manager

Lisi, a long-time resident of San Francisco, joins Brown Advisory after an impressive career in the San Francisco Bay area. Prior to joining the firm, Lisi was a senior vice president at Capital Group Private Client Services, a boutique RIA within Capital Group, where she was responsible for generating new business opportunities while managing client portfolios across equity, fixed income and alternative asset classes. While there, Lisi co-created and co-led the “Women Advisors’ Network,” a quarterly meetup of Bay Area female Centers of Influence (COIs) as a forum to discuss and analyze relevant business topics in their respective practices.

“We are so happy to welcome Lisi to our firm. Her expertise, background, and insights will provide our clients and their families with immense value in managing their portfolios. Beyond that, Lisi’s extensive career partnering with executives in the venture and private equity community, along with women leaders, augments our capabilities as an office,” says Meredith Shuey Etherington, head of Brown Advisory’s San Francisco office. “Lisi's extensive experience with large, multigenerational families and her broad network across the west region strengthens our commitment to deliver thoughtful advice and tailored solutions to our clients,” Meredith added.

Lisi’s career includes working for legacy firms Merrill Lynch and Alex. Brown in Institutional  Equity Sales. Her primary responsibilities included covering key West Coast institutional accounts like Franklin Templeton Group, Dodge & Cox and Capital Group. She also served as the primary contact between institutional accounts and her firm’s equity research, capital markets and trading departments.

“Adding Lisi to our team continues our history of bringing impressive, tenured professionals with singular, additive skills,” says Meredith. “It’s an exciting time to lead this office and geography. Initiatives for entrepreneurs, family offices and nonprofits continue to advance as we explore several new areas of focus,” Meredith concludes.

The addition of Lisi to Brown Advisory demonstrates the firm’s continued commitment to our clients with a focus on identifying talented professionals who can help contribute to our clients’ long-term strategic goals. The firm believes that by identifying and partnering with people who embody Brown Advisory’s client-first, colleague-driven and community-focused culture, it can make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients and communities across the globe.
