Shannon Pierce, CPA

Shannon is a partner, member of the Executive Team and the firm’s Chief Financial Officer. In this capacity, which she assumed in May 2024, Shannon oversees all aspects of the firm’s financial stewardship to ensure that Brown Advisory remains well positioned to support and invest in our clients, colleagues and communities—today and in the future. During her 20+-year tenure at the firm, Shannon has led teams across the firm’s finance and accounting functions, most recently serving as Controller. She has deep accounting, financial analysis and strategic planning expertise, as well as being deeply committed to building the firm and bolstering its distinctive culture for future generations. Prior to Brown Advisory, Shannon was a senior audit associate at KPMG.
