Sam is a Partner at Brown Advisory where he works to help evaluate and monitor risks across Brown Advisory’s investments. Sam is a member of Brown Advisory’s Investment Risk Management Committee, Pricing Committee, Credit Committee, and various other Investment Committees. Additionally, Sam is the Brown Advisory Funds Derivative Risk Manager responsible for evaluating risks related to their use of derivatives. Prior to joining Brown Advisory in 2012, Sam was a director of risk at Cadogan Management, a New York based fund of funds. Prior to that, he worked as a manager in the Regulatory & Capital Markets Consulting Group at Deloitte & Touche. Before Deloitte, Sam worked on the derivatives desk at Societe Generale, where he was responsible for analyzing the risks related to their hedge fund and fund of fund counterparties. Earlier in his career, he worked as a fund of funds analyst at Ivy Asset Management and at Deutsche Bank Absolute Return Strategies as well as an equity research analyst at Roth Capital Partners and Wilshire Associates.
