Kyle P. Legg

Kyle is a trustee of the Brown Advisory Funds Board of Directors. She is chair of its audit committee and sits on the governance and pricing committees. Kyle is the former president and CEO of Legg Mason Capital Management (LMCM), an investment management company that has since merged with ClearBridge Investments, a Legg Mason affiliate. She joined the firm in 1991 as a vice president and senior analyst, served as president from 1999 to 2005, and as president and CEO from 2006 until her retirement at the end of 2009. LMCM had a leading global equity investment management business serving high-end institutional clients, including some of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, domestic and foreign company pension plans, corporate funds, endowments, and foundations. Prior to joining Legg Mason, Kyle was a securities analyst at Alex. Brown where she headed the bank research team. Currently, she serves as a board member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, as well as for the Pension and Investment and Compensation Committees. Kyle received a B.A. in mathematics from Goucher College, a J.D. from the University of Baltimore, and an MBA from Loyola College.
