Amar Patel

Amar is a partner, portfolio manager and member of the leadership team with Brown Advisory’s Investment Solutions Group (ISG). The ISG is a centralized investment management and research team which makes asset allocation recommendations, performs manager research and selection, and creates and manages specialized partnership funds for endowments, foundations, families and individuals. Amar also oversees the group’s fund offerings, leads the group’s diversifying strategies research effort and advises the firm’s largest clients on their investment decisions. Before joining the firm in 2010, he was an associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Prior to this, he was an analyst at Cedarview Capital Management, an Event-Driven and Credit focused Hedge Fund, working on idea generation and risk management. Amar started his career as an Investment Analyst at MetLife Investments within the Long Duration Fixed Income Portfolio Management Group. Amar graduated from Rutgers University in 2005 with a BS in Finance.
