Beth Richtman is an institutional investor pioneer in sustainable investing. She was the first Managing Investment Director of Sustainable Investments at CalPERS and has more than 16 years of experience focused on profitably navigating risks and opportunities within sustainable investing and underwriting assets and managers. Beth has a history of doing novel work in ESG integration tool and practice development and collaborating with global sustainable investment peers on best practices. She currently does a variety of sustainable investment work including as a Sustainability Operating Partner for GreenPoint Partners, a Venture Partner for Trailhead Capital, advising start-ups and taking on strategic projects for asset owners and managers. Her prior roles include serving as Director of Business Development for Enel Green Power North America, managing a more than $7 Billion Real Assets portfolio for CalPERS, serving on CalPERS Real Assets Investment Committee and founding a platform to support emerging managers with impactful investment strategies. Beth earned a BS in Science, Technology & Society focused in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School. In her free time, she coaches a LEGO Robotics team.
